Youth Group

Welcome to all youth From Ms. Kelly and Ms. Linda

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart I have overcome the world  John 16:33M

“Miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word: always doing the smallest right and doing it all for love”

– St. Therese of Lisieux

I recently had the opportunity to attend a wedding of two faith-filled Catholics who chose the following reading for the 2nd reading and was so impressed with it I have to share it.  It is Romans Chapter 12

I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, your spiritual worship.  Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, .  that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect

This is a poem that a former Youth Group member wrote, think this is a good one since starting a new school year

I will love God, I will not hate

The simple things I will not waste

Honesty will get me far

I must step up and raise the bar

I will do what’s best for me

Others will not control my destiny

Friends and family will always come first

I will hope for the best but cope with the worst

I’ll stand up tall and sit up straight

Life’s too short to watch and wait
